#131 - At the Post Office

Have a great winter break, and see you in January!

#130 - Something Rotten

I like Dallas's "I'm going to strangle you" gesture in the first panel.

Like Stripes #9, this strip was shown in The Crimson sideways. I like this look because of the "widescreen" panels.

#128 - Goodbye, Dan the Yale Bulldog

Harvard beat Yale again.

You be the judge.

#125 - The Misadventures of Levi, the Sacrificial Lamb

Poor sacrificial lamb. Doomed to be unhappy forever...I think we can all relate on some level.

At least he has a name now.

#123 - Drawn Before I Knew Obama Won

Since comic strips are due the Saturday before the week of publication, I often need to plan ahead in order to keep the strips up-to-date.

Yay Obama!

#122 - Election Day

Why are you still reading this? Get out and VOTE!

Thursday, October 30, 2008

#121 - Not Sarah Palin

Please vote intelligently on November 4th and let us be done with this woman.

#119 - Decision 2008, Part 2

No, I don't think dressing up Twitchy as an ultra- conservative trigger-happy bully is overstating the point.

#118 - Decision 2008

Decision 2008! Freaking vote on November 4th, people.

Season 5 Poster (Fall 2008)

#115 - Tap is the new Swipe

Students used to swipe their IDs through card readers to gain access to buildings on campus. This year, Harvard replaced the IDs so that students can now simply tap their IDs to open doors.

Honestly? Since it takes the same amount of time and doesn't really require less effort to tap than to swipe, I have no idea why they even bothered.

#113 - Summer Storage

What amazes me about summer storage is how items magically disappear and reappear. This year, I couldn't find a box and meticuloulsy combed over the storage rooms two or three times each. After giving up, I returned Friday afternoon and - ta-daa - there it was, sitting right in the middle of the floor.

It's totally mocking me.

#112 - Season Five

Stripes season five is here!

I also hear there's a Stripes parody floating around in a parody issue of the Crimson by the Harvard Lampoon. I haven't seen it yet, but I hear it's funny. I'd love to get a copy, if anyone has an extra one. (After I sue them for copyright infringement, of course. :P )

#111 - Primal Scream

This is, indeed, the last Stripes of the year! Thanks for reading and I hope to see you all again in the fall.

#110 - The Bang Truck

Don't worry - not inspired by a true story.

#109 - Confessions of a Wellesley Girl

Return of the Wellesley jokes! (Sorry Sara...)

#108 - College is a Mad Tea Party

One of my life goals is to hold a tea party with a table set for way too many people.

#107 - Baking Hazard

My mom used to cut the sugar and butter and flavor out of her cookies because they were healthier that way. But, in recent years, my mom has seen the light and has cut less sugar out of her cookies. Quite frankly, they kick the bejeebus out of those dining hall cookies.

#105 - Too Much Work

I never went back to Twitchy's job in Widener from earlier this season. Plot line resolved.

#103 - Intelligent Evolution

I once had a fortune cookie that read, "Evolution or creation? That is the question."

I think the people who write those things are running out of ideas.

#101 - The WASPs Family

Oh those WASPs.

You might notice that this strip and the previous strip, #100, are a little different from the versions published in The Crimson. I used a different scanner over spring break and redid the text after I sent the strips to The Crimson.

#100 - One Hundred Strips!

Stripes's 100th comic strip is here! Thank you all so much for continuing to read and support Stripes. I love creating these strips and hope I can keep the laughs coming. :)

Maybe someday The Crimson will print comic strips in color?

#99 - The Harvard House Mascots Club

Housing Day is here! In this strip, we have the mascots from the remaining Houses. Currier, I believe, is the only House with a mascot that isn't an animal.

(I later found out that Eliot's mascot is the elephant and Mather's is the gorilla. Um, oops.)

After spring break, it's the 100th Stripes! Thanks for reading!

#98 - Housing Day!!!

This Thursday is HOUSING DAY here at Harvard, when freshmen find out which upperclassmen House they've been sorted into! It's tons of fun when the upperclassmen raid Annenberg to show their House spirit.

Today I've represented five of the twelve Houses. The other seven Houses are coming this Thursday!

Note: I accidentally flipped the lines and waves on the Eliot House shield. Honestly, I could care less. I searched for hours online for the freaking House shield and it's not even on their website. Pfft. Some House spirit!

#96 - Positive Psychology, Part 2

I love Positive Psych. It's a fun class with a great professor and is providing an endless supply of comic strip ideas.

#93 - Domina Returns

In Memory of Aalok S. Modi (1986-2008)

Monday, February 25, 2008

#92 - Life Scientology

There are a bunch of fairly new science survey courses called "Life Sciences" and "Life and Physical Sciences." Now, I'm not making any judgment calls here, but a lot of students find the courses...for lack of a better word...uninspiring.

#91 - The New Layout People Take Over

Ironically (or maybe not), The Crimson layout people misspelled my name the day this strip ran. Dammit!

Thursday, February 14, 2008

#90 - Incompetence

Whereas most people are celebrating love on Valentine's Day, I've decided to express my hatred for the layout people at The Crimson. Aww.

Monday, February 11, 2008

#89 - Evan the Executive Editor

Evan really is the name of the editor who's been watching my back for the past two semesters, and he's done an amazing job.

Thursday, February 7, 2008

#88 - Beyond Rock Bottom

This strip completely ignores the fact, of course, that Audrey the moose only has two fingers.

Monday, February 4, 2008

#87 - Rock Bottom

The fourth season of Stripes is here! Looks like those nasty Crimson layout people are up to it again. What will they think of next? Stay tuned.
