Stripes #14 (11-16-06)

JetBlue ran a promotion last week at several college campuses across the country. Students wearing blue might be approached by a JetBlue rep who would ask them, "Go what?" If the student replied with "Go blue!" they won a free flight.
Since this was the week before the great Harvard-Yale game, a lot of Harvard students went into a frenzy thinking this was a Yale prank to get Harvard kids on tape yelling "Go blue!"

Turns out the promotion was legit, but I have no need for a one-way ticket to NYC or DC anyway. Besides, you could never get me to say "go" and "blue" in the same sentence. Except just now.

Also, no one actually told me they thought Cubby wasn't sketchy enough. But as Stephan Pastis says, "What the strip needs, the strip gets."

Stephan Pastis once wrote how he could never really tell which of his strips would be popular and which ones wouldn't. I think the same thing applied here - I wrote this one rather quickly, but people seemed to like it when it was published.

#11 - Hell Hath No Fury...

Poor Audrey. Actually, poor Twitchy - he's about to get sacked...

Realistically, guys and girls can't room together at Harvard. I think there's a committee actually discussing it, but really I just wanted to put Audrey in with the other characters. It's not like she'd associate with any of them by choice...or would she? Stay tuned.

People kept thinking Cubby was a cat, not a tiger, so I wanted to clear that up. It was presented in The Crimson on its side because that was the only way I could make everything fit. But, lucky you, it's put vertically here.
